KingRanger was considered as Black Ranger despite his US name was named as Gold Ranger, I personally have to agree to call him black ranger because without that armor he’s just another sentai hero in black suit. Once again, I know it’s not show accurate but, I like it even better like this, atleast it makes this figure looks expensive despite it’s already expensive by now due to it’s event exclusive status. The armor was sculpted with many interesting details but, the actual figure’s armors was originally plain mustard coloring which once again not happy with it so, I asked my friend Panji Kusumo to get him repainted with adding weathering effect to make a darker tone color. And for KingRanger, he mostly wearing black spandex filled with golden armors mainly on his chest, arms and legs. In this review, Armored Red Ranger was added few detailings to make him more show accurate like in Zyuranger and MMPR, they are gold painted dino buckler which originally silver out of the box and black lining on his belt which originally plain white. His helmet is still the same like his regular form (without armor), his Dino Buckler is gold because of possessing Green Ranger power. He also dons his trademark Dragon Armor, the armor is comprised of a golden armor, two golden armbands, Ranger Stick’s holster on the left and Zyusouken’s holster on the right. Each boots and gloves has diamond shaped motives. Armored Red Ranger donning his red spandex with a diamond shaped white motives on his upper body, white colored neck collar, white belt with Dino Buckler, boots, and gloves. Like Fighting Spirit Green Ranger, this appearance of Red Ranger is exclusive eversince he only appeared for few episodes. KingRanger comes with 2 variant King Stick, 2 option hands and orange colored FX. It’s time to unbox them!Īrmored Red Ranger comes with Zyusouken, Ranger Stick, Ranger Gun and Howling Cannon, 2 option hands and Jason Lee Scott head sculpt. On the back, the box feature a rendered Armored Red Ranger and Gold Ranger figure in orange and red lightning motives and white background with character’s informations in multiple languages with the logo of the respective series, copyrights of the figure and Hasbro logo as well as warning signs are mostly printed on the slipcase. Each bust art has their name printed red line for “Mighty Morphin Red Ranger” and dark orange line for “Zeo Gold Ranger” print. Opening the slipcase, the actual box packaging have similar design to 2-pack Green Ranger and Putty one but, it’s slightly bigger with window styled that shows full body of the respective figures with their bust artwork on the edge with black printed “Saban’s Power Rangers” and “Lightning Collection” (LC) logo. The box was given with slipcase to cover the actual box, the slipcase contains 1 with close up red ranger artwork and the other 1 with gold ranger artwork and 1 cover slide for putting the slipcased box. Since Jason returning, he was seen morphing into this form numerously compared to Trey which made most fans thought Gold Ranger became iconic to Jason after his Mighty Morphin Red Ranger. In PRZ, Gold Ranger power was originally belongs to Trey of Triforia but, was temporarily transfered to Jason. After the final battle with Kaiser Buldont and Princess Multiwa he leaves with Dorin. He first appeared, reviving from suspended animation and is the protector of Dorin. Riki, he is the legendary child-like hero of Pangaea who chased Emperor Bacchus Wrath off Earth 600 million years ago (older than the Zyurangers). As for Zeo Gold Ranger or originally known as KingRanger in Chouriki Sentai Ohranger, is the the 6th ranger featured in Ohranger series. Originally, this episode was going to be Tommy’s sendoff for good until he was called back due to his overpopularity. In MMPR, Armored Red Ranger first appeared in “The Green Candle” where Tommy finally have to let go of his Green Ranger power to Jason to prevent his death. Armored Red Ranger was exclusive only to Jason since his successor Rocky Desantos never get to wear Dragon Armor.

It’s quite predictable why Hasbro made this version, since Armored Red Ranger only appeared in 3 episodes of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (MMPR) series but, Gold Ranger actually appeared quite often in Power Ranger’s Zeo (PRZ) series but, I’m thinking they just only want to release this as Jason’s 2-pack since, it’s all about Jason Lee Scott ranger forms. It was released as event exclusive only in San Diego Comic Con 2019 but, the 2-pack was once or twice put on sale in Hasbro Pulse. Today’s review is going to be Hasbro Lightning Collection: Mighty Morphin Red Ranger and Zeo Gold Ranger! It’s another 2-pack styled box which identical to Fighting Spirit Green Ranger and Mighty Morphin Putty.
